Welcome to CMM

The CMM forum software was recently upgraded, some things may have changed and some things may be broken or not working. Please let me know by PM or on IRC if you have any problems using this forum.

Also, I've removed the skybox and shader links for now, the shader generator page was being abused and as we're moving towards a ue4 mapping base, they're redundant.

I've just started playing around some in ue4 but idk im so much more used to radiant :)

If I'm honest, I dont like the BSP editor in UE4 so much, its fiddly compared to radiant but I guess thats because I (we) just need more practice.

Re: Casablanca map conversion to UE4

Managed to get a complete (tiny) map converted from Radiant to UE4, I've only used starter content materials so far but I'm creating my own now. 2015-04-03-11_50_42-Casablanca---Unreal-Editor.jpg 2015-04-03-11_48_09-Casablanca-Game-Preview-Standalone-(64-bit_PCD3D_SM5).jpg 2015-04-03-11_47_04-Casabl...

lol yeah, I meant generally how nice the editor worked/looks, the bricks are just freeby starter content things, I'm making all my own materials.

Re: Casablanca map conversion to UE4

I was just using the editor, looking at the map and thought how nice it looked, in the editor, not the game.

Nice bricks I thought

The more I use this thing, the easier it gets and the more fun it is... anyone else trying it?

Re: Casablanca map conversion to UE4

Yes, you can create an entire map in blender and import it into ue4. When you import it into ue4 you can choose to have it clipped (collision built) or not, if you choose not you can generate it later, or import it from another mesh. Once you start using the editor, it's very easy and pleasant to us...

Re: Casablanca map conversion to UE4

Watched Frankies video this morning, very educational. 1K5wiJv7LlQ He gets a bit distracted by a truck or something but I learned some important stuff, like use version 1.5 of radiant to export brushwork to OBJ and not as I initially tried, converting to ASE models. I'm using blender but I still had...
