I have been thinking of doing a urt map of minecraft for 9 months. I asked Notch if i was allowed to use the textures and got a nice reply saying it was fine within 30 min
I started making some maps but im not much good at layout so i never relaesed anything.
Made a fun test tought

okay guys, THIS Thread is about a Tool which takes a minecraft (auto-generated) map and puts it into a .map.
I see no reason to flame.
The Tool is thought nice, although the server's minecraft level.dat does only submit the chunks and the map data, no alterations as I know.
That is stored in the server's region*.mcr - so no use for me to convert a region without the Buildings on there.
I might watch the tool and if it gets that feature, I'll map in minecraft
