Waterfalls

Does anyone have good advice for how to make waterfalls? Here is my first attempt:

Looks fine there are many effects, Cascade uses a particle shader while Raiders uses a similar technique to what you've used + some particles

The maps I know of with waterfall effects are Raiders, Dark Forrest and wop_bath. I was going to decompile them to see how they were built. What I really don't know how to do is make the water splash and ripple at the bottom of the waterfall.
