Welcome to CMM

The CMM forum software was recently upgraded, some things may have changed and some things may be broken or not working. Please let me know by PM or on IRC if you have any problems using this forum.

Also, I've removed the skybox and shader links for now, the shader generator page was being abused and as we're moving towards a ue4 mapping base, they're redundant.

Flipping a texture?

Postby quick » Fri Nov 08, 2013 7:46 pm

Hi.
Maybe it's wrong section, but I want to ask about if it's possible to flip a texture, so if you got a texture with text and it's in the wrong direction, then is it possible to flip it, so it's right (also with some other textures).

use a negative number on one of the scales or coordinates for one direction (like X) and it should flip it

In the texture menu (hotkey: S) add a minus sign (-) before either scale value.
Have a happy day! :)

Open the Surface Inspector (S) and just place a minus (-) before the value of "horizontal stretch" or "vertical stretch" to invert them horizontally and / or vertically

Open the surface inspector (S) and put a minus before the horizontal or vertical stretch value (or remove it).

(Oh my, that’s quite the number of posts made while I was taking the screenshot.)

Thx for the help!

When I type it in it closes the Surface Inspector and does nothing. Any fix?
