johnnyenglish wrote:Read my first post, then the wiki - if you can't run 16 bots + 16 humans on casa + turnpike for 2 weeks without crashing the server you're wasting your time.

If you do manage it I'll bet you you're using 64-bit ubuntu and my 64-bit binary.

(OK - Lurked long enough......)

My Botasy bot server was running on Ubuntu 32-bit and ran for 120 days with only two unscheduled restarts before I took it down. As Johnny and I discussed in a different forum, I never did get Casa or Turnpike to run without crashing. There is a 42 page thread available over at the official Urban Terror server forum that pretty well lays out the details of what does and does not need to be done to maintain a stable bot server. I don't have that link here but Johnny or Picola can post it up.

Avatar? I thought we were supposed to put our portrait there. Hmmmm.......

Anyway, might as well toss out the link to the ultimate bot server thread:
http://www.urbanterror.info/forums/topi ... entry96350

That pretty well discusses all the fundamentals for those wanting to run bots on a server.

(Good to "see" you again Johnny. Say Hi! to your better half for me.)
