Hi.
Just quick. How to make a minimap?
When my friends play their map the .tga file just show up but not when it's me.
I've also tried to launch my mapping urt after saving and compiling in gtkradiant, but it gives an error that says it can't find the map file.
What to do?

it usually creates the minimap. Either after the compiler or when you first launch it in game.
Then you can find it on your q3ut4 folder, under /maps

if your own map doesn't show up, a common problem is that you're still seeing an older version of the generated minimap -- if you delete it, it will regenerate a fresh one

I don't even have one. If I put the ut4_... on it wont make it and if I do /sv_pure 0 and then devmap it wont create one only if it's without ut4_...

(1) do you see a .tga at q3ut4\maps\YOURMAPNAME.tga ?
(2) do you have write permissions to that folder?

Being admin is not the same as having write privledges... see if you can make a new text file or something in your q3ut4\maps folder WITHOUT clicking through any UAC prompts

I have writing access. There's only one user on my computer.
I found out why it wont do it. I've to rename it to mapname.bsp instead of ut4_mapname.bsp

that's stupid. You don't have to.
Being the only user doesn't give you write access either.

I bet you've Urban Terror and GTK installed under /ProgramFiles. That is the worst thing you can do. If you have them outside that folder, you normally have all write permissions and you avoid a lot of problems
