Custom Map Makers

As last weeks poll was a tie between a tree and a shop these will be the themes for the next two weeks.

This weeks challenge will be to create a TREE, as the community could use a few new tree models.

All entries should be submitted by Sunday 18th March at 23.59 (GMT).


It is hard to choose a winner from last weeks Water Tower challenge as they were all great.

Nemnemnemnemnemnemnem your tower made me smile and was very close to the reference picture you gave.

Johnny this looked really nice and I liked the detail especially on the water tank.

Dag, both towers were great I liked the design of your first tower and the the second tower looked very realistic.

Karrotwin, I like that you used your imagination to make something different and fun. I hope to see more entries from you in future challenges and were all looking forward to watching you progress with mapping.

And the winner is.... Dags second entry. I chose this tower for its overall look and I really like the way the legs/base looks.

I think you should think about the real goal of these challenges. Mapping is not modelling.

Yeah, I don't like the whole modelling stuff either - though you can create models in Radiant just fine.

For the future we should focus on mapping a bit more I think. Like building a house/facade or something a little bigger, but still something you can do on an afternoon
