Looking Awesome! Have you had a chance to mess with adding height maps and secular maps to the cobble stone textures?

I have played with materials a little bit but I've mostly been concentrating on converting the brushes, also learning how to make my own skies.

I've very pleased today, I've managed to import a whole map (australia) and can run around it.

Notice the scaling (for the entire map) set to 2.54 -- this makes the conversion spot on.

Is it sad that I tried to move the view around when I zoomed in on that picture? I think I've been working in a 3D editor too long...

I do that...

I've now worked out skies and lighting and I can make my own skydomes and light them, took a day to work it all out.

Getting some nice crispy black shadows, will add point lights later with slightly different colours to light those areas a little more.

Would you mind sharing what you learned about the skyboxes? maybe in another thread? Sounds like very good information to know :)

Yup, I'll document what I've learned in the wiki. Although I've worked out the "components" of the lighting, I've not yet worked out how to make it pretty.
