Mapping tennis - test

Post by DagF »

Allright!
I posted some http://www.custommapmakers.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=383#p3917%20guidelines witch id like to try out.
I'm not sure if this is the way we should go so i was thinking of just trying it out fast with thouse who would like to join.
I will try to draw a quick layout and come up with a theme. This will be more like a test than a real map so we can work out
what works best to improve the consept so we can use it to make a good map. For this try i am thinking of a really small funmap.

The concep is simple enough, one mapper got 24 hours to work on the map file before he has to past it on.
We will just uploade the map and post links here so anyone can see as this will be more like a test than enything else.

Comment if you are interested in joining.

I will move this topick to a more fitting part of the forum when we have started mapping :)

If you got nothing better to do, then join and see what we can get out of this :D

That can always be rearanged.
We will make a list of when each got his turn and the mapper will be resposible for telling when it does not work out for him after the list.
His turn can be rearanged or he can pas a turn if needed.

Why don't we all work on the thing we do best?
(Lighting, Textures, Models, Concept, Testing, Layout, Brushwork, etc..)
[12:25] <JohnnyEnglish> morning Nounou
[12:25] <JohnnyEnglish> wotcha doing?
[12:25] <Nounou> hello
[12:26] <Nounou> nothing much, i've nothing to do at work so
[12:26] <Nounou> modeling woman
[12:26] <JohnnyEnglish> woo
[12:26] <JohnnyEnglish> real women?
[12:26] <Nounou> realistic yes, on maya

That is one of the ideas i had. I think i forgot to note that down. but in the concep there are a few jobs bound to be done by one or 2 ppl at the moust.
This would be finalicing the textures. the brushwork and do the lighting. the layout is in the first phase where one or two mappers work out a layout and the theme are decided.
As for this i have started working on a layout and will suggest a theme. I will not way longer than til tomorrow before this starts simply to prevent this drying out before it's even started.
I'm going to be avay this weekend so from friday til sunday i need some to push this onword before ill be back to push it.

So if you are interested here. say so. and say what you would like to do. Everyone will get to do some of everything if he would like to do so and the first to favor one of the cleanup tasks will get them.

It would be nice to know if there will be anyone entering this test. It should atleest be 1-3 + myselfe really.
This will just go on the next week or so and if you dont have much time after that then taht is ok.
