and a video - was a bit "drunk" when I made this



Still adding detail, textures are mostly temporary, no decals or dirt or stuff added yet. Be another week before it's first release.

I thought, now it's getting closer I'd add a new video showing raynes lovely building models and more work.



The part where I shoot the wall will be an arcade and I finally get to use these models wiki/index.php/Models:CMM_models#Arcade_machines

Basically the map needs a lot of decals, more roofs, new skybox and some other twiddly bits but it's been fun making so far.

Remember this?



BTW - this map when packed is close to 200mb :-)

That cracked up road texture look really bad. Totally out of scale, especially when you compare it to the car on the road. It look like a massive earthquake hit and destroyed the road. You're better off using a smaller 512x512 clean asphalt texture and then add smaller cracks through decals.
Lighting needs reworking cause right now you got light coming from all directions and it just makes no sense.
Layout looks too complex and i can tell you right now that main street will be used the most but the rest will stand empty.

The warehouse though looks pretty good, i like the lighting and the shadows.

um yeah, I might have posted too early, I'd say I'm 50% of the way through the process to releasing an alpha and very few of the textures are final/sorted out.

The main road section is only a placeholder, until the model is complete:

As for layout, it's no more complicated that casa/algiers/turnpike and very simple compared to bath/eagle/etc, the team survivor layout is a lot smaller, I'll perhaps post a video of this.

There's still loads of work to do, if anyone is interested in getting involved in some texture work or would like to make a dirty dirty decal pack, let me know.

Could do with some street models also, busted up and dirty if possible.

Even though I'm really busy with work and not around much at the moment I still find an hour every day to work on the map.

I'm still trying to decide whether the factory should be "Hollywood, toys and novelty gifts" or "Hollywood, surgical and medical supports".
